Information we use
EditUpload.io uses information needed to provide editing, accounts, security and creator rewards. Contact support@editupload.io for privacy or account questions.
Accounts and sign-in
Email accounts use a verified email address and a one-time code. Social accounts use a provider-specific identifier and available profile information such as a display name. TikTok and Snapchat handle their own passwords and authentication. Our server exchanges provider tokens to verify identity; tokens are not returned to the editor or stored in account activity records. The current integration does not retain provider access or refresh tokens after sign-in.
Editing uploads and review
Videos, including their original audio, selected photos, added sounds, completed voice recordings and editing snapshots are uploaded when server editing is enabled. Authorized administrators can view, listen to, download and remove these copies for quality assurance and misuse review. Snapshots contain cuts, effects, text, media references, project names and approximate playback position. Guest copies are grouped by their recorded upload IP address. An IP address may be shared and is not proof of identity. Unopened browser drafts are not collected.
Retained media, snapshots and related review notes expire after 7 days unless removed sooner. Moving copies to restricted backup storage does not extend that deadline. Export working files are removed after completion, cancellation or failure. Local browser drafts are separate and remain on your device.
Security and creator records
We record sign-in methods and times, IP addresses, browser-reported device information, upload types and sizes, draft-sync activity and completed export counts. Recent account activity is limited to 100 events and 90 days. Usage totals remain with the account. Account identifiers, referral attribution, saved-edit fingerprints, approved-post counts and payment records support the creator program. Reward records are separate from expiring media. Minimal suspended-account identifiers may remain to prevent rejoining. Contact us for deletion or access requests; necessary security and payment records may need to be retained.
Cookies and browser storage
Cookies support signed-in sessions, one-time verification, administrator access and referral attribution. The referral cookie lasts up to 30 days; user sign-in sessions last up to seven days. Local storage remembers whether this browser has visited and your tutorial preference. Browser storage also holds local drafts and recordings. We do not use device fingerprinting, keystroke tracking or cross-site browsing history. Clearing browser storage can remove drafts and make this browser appear new.
Service providers
Hosting and infrastructure providers process service data on our behalf. Resend processes email addresses and verification messages when email delivery is enabled. TikTok or Snapchat processes its own sign-in when you choose that option. Their services have their own privacy policies. Our account records do not contain provider passwords. We do not sell uploaded media or claim ownership of it. Processing may occur in countries where these providers operate.
Your choices
Use Your uploaded copies in My videos during the same tab session to remove retained media, or contact support@editupload.io about access, correction, deletion or provider disconnection. We may need information to verify ownership before acting. Clearing browser data does not itself remove server copies. Unlinking the app in a provider account stops future provider authorization but does not automatically delete existing EditUpload.io records. Applicable privacy rights depend on where you live.
Updates
We may update this policy as the service changes and communicate material changes as required. The effective date identifies this version.
